Power of 12 12 12

AustinSedona AZ (December 11, 2012) – Yesterday, Austin, an eleven year old boy from Phoenix, Arizona, lost his battle with cancer. Austin was a vivacious young boy who was respectful, courageous and caring. Over the past few years, while in and out of the hospital battling his cancer, Austin was able to recapture some of his childhood while attending camp with Camp Soaring Eagle. Austin attended Camp Soaring Eagle a number of times, sometimes just for a weekend, twice with his entire family and one time he even traveled with Camp Soaring Eagle to Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in CT

While at camp Austin met other kids battling cancer, he was able to ride horses, play archery and just be a kid. Austin was able to experience the magic of camp thanks to the careful supervision of medical volunteers and counselors and generous donors who make these programs free of charge to the campers and families.

Austin 2In honor of the historic day 12/12/12 and in memory of our camper Austin, Camp Soaring Eagle is celebrating the power of 12. In 12 Days we want to raise $12,000 to send 12 children to camp with $12 donations.

Participating is easy:  Donate $12 at www.CampSoaringEagle.org/donate

Tell 12 Friends to Donate and together we can give an ill child the gift of laughter.

In honor of Austin and children like him who deserve a slice of heaven while they are here on earth, we hope that you will share this story with your viewers.

Austin 3Camp Soaring Eagle is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and offers year round camping programs for children and families with serious illnesses such as cancer, hemophilia, juvenile diabetes, and sickle cell anemia to name a few.
