Sedona Appoints Historic Preservation Commission Members

Jane Grams, Brynn Unger and Charlie Schudson have been recently appointed to the Historic Preservation by the Sedona City Council. The members will serve three-year terms. The Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for preserving historic sites, buildings and unique features of the community.

The commission also hosts special events to help educate residents and celebrate local history such as National Historic Preservation Month.

In anticipation of the Arizona’s 100th birthday, the commission is planning activities and events leading up to the anniversary date of statehood on February 14, 2012.

Commission meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Vultee Conference Room located at Sedona City Hall, 106 Roadrunner Drive.

Ms. Grams has a background in television and was President and General Manager of WTVC-ABC Channel 9 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Brynn Unger has already served two terms and is currently Chairman of the HPC. Unger is an ASID Designer and believes that preservation of significant historic buildings is not only vital to Sedona’s small town character but the best way to achieve a “green” result. Mr. Schudson has extensive experience in the public and private sectors and is currently a Wisconsin Reserve Judge and Adjunct Professor of Law.
