Hello Sedona Eye Readership Community,
I’m Harry Danilevics; the Millennial who initially ran for Sedona City Council and I will now be the first voice of the Millennial generation currently living in and around Sedona, Arizona, for The Sedona Eye.
Initially, I will be covering Election Central 2016 for the City of Sedona. It will be here that residents and constituents of the City of Sedona can come to learn in an unbiased and nonpartisan way about and from the candidates vying to be a leader in your community. Digital and Social Media will be utilized in new and revolutionary ways to ensure the largest number of citizens have access to this information that will directly affect them.
In the future I will be covering topics such as: Local, State, National and International Geopolitics, Emerging and Dominate Technologies, Transhumanism, Anti-Aging Remedies, Philosophy, Space Exploration, Business, Economic Development, Inventions, and Millennial Perspectives.
Being a born and raised Arizona native, I value and appreciate what Sedona has to offer to all of us living here, and there will still be people actively living here in 50 years time. It is for those individuals whom I have chosen to write and speak for.

So you want to “inspire” me well you lost any hope of inspiring me when you say “who initially ran for Sedona City Council”
Let me try to get this right you ran for city council but dropped out, what does that exactly mean Mr. Danilevics? Did you gave up? Did you get tired already? WHAT? Doesn’t sound like you were very committed. Lost a lot of credibility with that one.

Well Harry, welcome to the World of Sedona Hecklers, like Oh Reilly??? Just know this: Losers like gutless O’Reilly will try to put you down for trying while they, themselves, have never succeeded in life at much of anything because they’ve never tried hard at accomplishing anything of importance. And, they will never have the courage to identify themselves. Amongst of all my hecklers, not a single one in eight years has ever had the guts to confront me in public even though everybody knows my hangouts, such as SNAP Fitness, the 1902 Bar @ Whole Foods, and where my speaking engagements are. Rest assured that O’Reilly is an ultimate loser…bad to look at, bad to listen to, bad to stomach, poorly educated, and he’s scared to death of successful people who attract large followings. While he may talk big, he’s afraid of you. Meanwhile, hecklers are generally of such low IQ that they never figure out that their heckling produces a following for you. If I saw the above on your resume with a whole two years experience, I would think you have a lot to learn.
Harry, at 24 the amount of “high level skills” you acquired in your two years after graduation from college is questionable. Your are getting involved in a town where “folks” have 50 years experience and would not openly say they have “high level skills”, even if they have been in the executive suite of a Fortune 500 company. Tone it down a bit young man, a little humility goes a long way. People are not as inclined to point out what you don’t know if you ask them for help.

This in itself is very impressive but most people would say – I graduated from Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, did Harry??????

Again very impressive to be offered such an opportunity but taking this into perspective, HE TURNED DOWN A FREE RIDE to the Air Force Academy. Humm most motivated teens today would die to have this offered to them especially from a State Senator HARRY CHOSE TO PASS ON THAT FREE OFFER, his father must be so proud!.

So Harry took a course in Philosophy and trained to be an investment banker. Did Harry graduate??? Is he an Investment Banker????? With that kind of training where is he using those skills??? I don’t know the answer but it would be nice if Harry answered the question for us. As we all know, there aren’t a lot of investment firms or corporate banks in Sedona. Yet, Sedona is where he lives.

Like Mary C said, Harry has accomplished all of the above by the ripe old age of 24. Very impressive indeed!

Well, I’ll be the first youngster to say, THANK YOU FOR GIVING US SOME REPRESENTATION.
Unfortunately, these conservative old folks, no offense but I doubt any commenting are below the age of 30, don’t understand that we all live together on this Earth.
Whether one has 1 year or 20 years of experience, that doesn’t make our well-being, lifestyle, and opinions, invalid. So sorry if your older entitlement mentality rubbed off on us a little. The fact is we are all blessed to be here, breathing and living.
Rather than critiquing your every word, I would rather focus on what good you are bringing to this beautiful Earth during these times.

What the . . . .? How many hours have been spent in meetings attempting to come up with ideas to attract the younger generation to get involved in Sedona? And now this? Can’t help but notice how Steve Segner is given a “free ride by chamber and lodging council and city council” with an 8th grade education and poor grammar and not too great business skills (we’re talking today not earlier fortune)….and a young man wanting to write about candidates using their own words from answers to a form request is lashed publicly?? Steve gets his, Danilevics gets his…the Sedona Times proves over and over why it’s the info machine in Sedona…and when are you going to demand a similar accounting of each councilor and Steve and others with hands in the pot of gold? Start Googling and let us know about one and all using the same litmus test?

I like what Oak Creek Millennial shared.
It came across to me as being mostly free of judgement of others, shared “his/her” feelings about things, and shared what I will call inclusive positive ideals for us as humans on earth. And like that kind of sharing. I will say to OCM – I think many many of us in all age groups feel significantly more marginalized than say 10 years ago. I think it cuts across all age groups, and even after the 60/70s, which was about youth getting a voice indeed, I think we have lost perhaps driven out, youth input in our society since, say the 80s.
This other more combative sharing in here looks to me more like people with psychological issue they are trying to work out perhaps, but in all of our faces instead of privately or in a setting devoted to acting out to become conscious about it (usually leading to stopping that and doing more constructive things in its place).
Harry I hope you are a catalyst, and leaning hard towards being a starfish (over a spyder).

If you all care about your community so much why spend so much time being mean to one another? Everyone has something to offer.. Support and encouragement are the catalysts for positive change.
Whether you like it or not, or believe that Harry is qualified or unqualified for this position; it is already his. Why not give him a chance. How about being supportive and encouraging? Harry has done no wrong thus far and if you all would like to see a positive change in your community, start by supporting those in it who are dedicating their time and energy into improvements and awareness. I am under the age of 30 and I wouldn’t have even known what The Sedona Eye was if it wasn’t for Harry. I am one more person reading this and engaging because of a young man who has a desire to help our community.

This sounds interesting. I am wondering how you will create this in a way that is not already being used here in Sedona or elsewhere in the cyber world. We all need to know how you will be doing this if people are to participate.

Harry Harry Harry, do you think so little of yourself that you need to spin almost every word that you write? If you really expect anyone to take you serious, especially on this wacky site, you need to speak the truth.
Single point being: “who initially ran for Sedona City Council”. Either you ran or are running or filed the papers but never followed through and if that’s the case you didn’t even initially run for anything.
You say “come to learn in an unbiased and nonpartisan way” but you Harry are not unbiased. You have already come out against council by saying on a different page about the possibility of a open law violation that you are “not surprised”. But you really don’t know the laws related to meeting violations and your hold a position on a city commission.
There are others above this comment that have asked many other pointed questions and yet you remain silent and you expect that we are waiting with baited breath to read your words on this site because as you say, you’re a “Millennial”? No Harry that just means that you’re still a kid who in my opinion hasn’t matured enough to live the life that he speaks about.
If you bend the truth once how do we know that you’re not bending the truth in your column?

Wow, from these two comments from Sedona Eye, it appears that this is more about a fashion show and sex appeal than qualifications! The public here will vet this guy even if they won’t. What a charade! There are other age groups that are proportionally larger. More evidence this has nothing to do with presenting a true voice of Sedona –Verde Valley. I think these folks have lost their minds!!!

I said the same thing. I guess as they get older, JRN and Eddie care more about the fashion statement of a writer then the content and substance of the writings. They both complain about writers who write nasty comments and rightly so but Harry writes gibberish and they both like and that, go figure!
What I have also noticed is that with just over 40 comments Harry has yet to answer the questions posed to him.
Gadswick, as mum and dad used to say! Leave the lad to do his job! We believe his critics are from the newspaper competition or from the powers asked to provide information. Ignore them. Stay the course.

I’ve been in Sedona 20 years and I am still younger than the median age here. I feel like I am watching some sort of mass delusion. Please realize that those calling names have something to lose. Their fears of change, control, and money makes them attack and bully anyone willing to speak the truth. Old sedona rules. They will try and bully you into silence.
We need to move into this century. Please ignore them and remember to view things from a positive light. We live and learn from our mistakes. They are grasping at straws and rationalizing their behavior. Isn’t it similar to the Ku Klux Klan? They hide behind the internet just like the Ku Klux Klan did with their attire.
I appreciated the interview article you wrote on those running for council. Thank you. It helped me get informed. Thank you for your social media posts letting us know about Sedona City Council Candidate Election Forum.
The biggest complainers are the most negative. Criticizing anyone that would dare to give a compliment to a young man with enough integrity to step out and get involved instead of remaining glued to his electronic gadgets 24/7. And in case someone missed the video offered by “millennials” check it out. 3- minutes of sad amusement realistically depicting what’s in store. Thanks, Mr. Harry, for a flip side to this coin. You know you are doing the correct thing by judging those that finger point and analyze their lack of reasoning.

People want an explanation of Harry’s bio. This is about integrity and moving forward. With the extensive education and the prestigious offers he says he was offered, he must have presented a resume that impressed both Jon Kyle and the Air force Academy. I doubt the paragraph below would have impressed the above.
The only local experience we read of in the year he’s been here, is his appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission where he doesn’t show up at meetings according to Steve Segner. Not a good image for millennials…..

Sounds like you should give Harry a call or send him an email. I have and he is very informed young man.
As far as any information Steve Segner tells you it best not to listen to rumors. Steve is not always truthful. He has a conflict of interest, Steve does, as the city coffers are paying for his advertising through a private membership club, chamber. That is something he should be doing on his own. As a owner of a hotel in the city limits, I abhor those stealing from the taxpayers.Those funds that my company collects to advertising those that do not contribute to the tax basis. Like the Hilton in the village and Enchantment outside the incorporated city of Sedona. By doing so they are disrespecting every resident, property owner and business that pays more to be within the city limits. Business is hard enough, so we don’t need our own city working against us. Those in the tourism business know it part of their business to advertise. The City should be focused on the incorporated jurisdiction and start being fair to their own.
As far as criticizing Harry you can always get more from honey. Just sayin. Good luck.

If Harry wants to facilitate community discussion he has to show up and participate. He says he qualified why doesn’t he take this opportunity to demonstrate those “high level skills”?
Sedona is not an island. The surrounding communities feed the city tax base. When people stay in VOC they spend their time and money in Sedona for the most part thus contributing tax dollars. As you know, most visitors would like to stay in the city of Sedona, in that sense you have a competitive advantage.
There is a Candidate that is running for Sedona City Council who is well versed and qualified on the subject of city taxes and the Chamber. I am sure he would like to hear your side. The contact email he has published in today’s RRN is currivan4souncil@gmail.com.
