City of Sedona Requesting Rehab Housing Bids

Sedona AZ (July 24, 2012) – The City of Sedona has been awarded a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Arizona Department of Housing and will accept bids from Arizona licensed contractors to construct various repairs to approximately six homes, all located in Sedona. The scope of work includes roofing, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other improvements.

A mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Meet in the plaza in front of the Sedona Community Development office, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona, Arizona for instructions. Inspections will last approximately four hours. If ADA accommodations are required, contact Ray Baum at the above, 24 hours prior to the walk-through or the bid opening.

Bid Deadline is 9:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2012. Bids must be sealed, labeled “Sedona Housing Rehab”, and delivered to Ray Baum, NACOG, 119 E. Aspen Ave., Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.

Mailed bids must be received by the deadline. Faxed bids are not acceptable. Late bids will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened at 9:05 AM following the submission deadline and total amounts will be read aloud.

Minority, woman-owned and disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to attend and submit bids.

The City may waive informalities in the bids, may negotiate with any and all bidders, and may reject all bids if it is deemed in the best interest of the City.
