Sedona Tea Party Hosts Public Library Speakers

Sedona AZ (October 30, 2011) – The Sedona Tea Party invites all residents and visitors in the greater Sedona area to attend an excellent presentation Thursday evening, November 3, 2011 at the Sedona Public Library, west Sedona. Two interesting and diverse speakers will be featured each with lively discussions to follow.

Gene Birkeland, writer of ‘In the Presence of Our Enemies’ will be the evening’s opening speaker. A research author, Birkeland will address and lead a very revealing discussion regarding the U.S. Public School System that is being effected directly by the UN’s UNESCO and the World Heritage Center Initiative, designed to completely change our American society from within.

The second address and subsequent discussion of the evening will feature Bogdon Dudziak. Dudziak lived in and emigrated from the socio-Marxist country of Poland. He will speak about his experiences and the effects of those experiences on the society’s people. Bogdon sees distinct similarities in practice through actions now being initiated by the U.S. government.

Those in attendance will be knowledgeably engaged and ultimately encouraged by what the speakers share and discuss, giving actionable steps that can be taken to address serious matters that affect us all.

Local Sedona Tea Party members will host this community gathering Thursday from 6:30 PM until approximately 8:30 PM at the Sedona Public Library, 3250 White Bear Road, West Sedona.  All residents and visitors in and around Sedona and the Verde Valley are welcome.

If you are seeking to know how to become better educated and more engaged in our many and diverse political processes, please attend. If you are “disinterested” in the political process but enjoy gathering knowledge, please attend to hear two interesting speakers. All are welcome to join together for an evening of lively and respectful community dialogue regardless of one’s political or apolitical affiliation.

For more information, visit the Sedona Tea Party website  www.sedonateaparty.org  or send an email to  sedonateaparty@gmail.com or call 928-301-3170.  Be sure to add this event to your calendars and social network this event to increase attendance and discussion.

  3. UPDATE on BUDGET HEARINGS says:

As you know, the Senate has failed to pass a budget resolution for three years running. Now they won’t even let the American people do the job for them.

This afternoon, 200 members and representatives from tea party groups across the country met in the Russell Senate Office building to formally present our plan to balance the federal budget and cut $9.7 trillion in spending over the next 10 years. Unfortunately, it seems like the only thing Washington wants to hear is excuses.

The Democrats who run the Senate Rules Committee were so afraid of the tea party plan to balance the federal budget that they ordered committee staff to remove the microphones we had set up for the event while Capitol Police blocked the doors of our hearing room, which had been reserved by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) specifically for this event more than two weeks ago. At the same time, a “suspicious package” was reported in the room next door and all visitors and staff were barred from the area.

Although Senator Lee courageously stood up for us, he ultimately determined that the hearing should proceed without further interruption or harassment. For that reason we moved to another location off the Capitol grounds where our commission of 12 volunteer tea party activists presented their recommendations to a fired-up crowd.

Senator Lee was also joined there by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Reps. Joe Walsh (R-IL), Steve King (R-IA), Mike Pence (R-IN), Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) and Paul Broun (R-GA). Rep. Broun received a standing ovation when he offered to help draft and sponsor legislation that could eventually allow our recommended cuts to become law.

Unfortunately, the unexpected location change disrupted live coverage of our hearing on CSPAN. For more information about the Tea Party Debt Commission, or to access the full report presented today, visit http://www.freedomworks.org/the-tea-party-budget.
