Sam Wercinski — Candidate Arizona Secretary of State – Democrat (Primary)

SEDONA AZ–“I want to fix broken state government,” Democratic candidate for Arizona Secretary of State Sam Wercinski said.  “The Secretary of State currently says their primary role is to file and record documents. Yet it is the second highest elected official in the state. I want to help Arizona families and business thrive. I have three goals that I have already started pursuing; the first, is to make sure that our elections are fair and honest and that every citizen’s vote counts on election day. I have already met with local, tribal, state and county officials to fix election day problems.”

Democratic candidate Wercinski’s other two goals stem from being Arizona’s second highest elected official and a critical team player. He believes the office should partner with economic development offices, labor organizations, elected officials and business. Sam Wecinski says, “The Secretary of State should do its part to help put Arizonans back to work and to create jobs.”

Candidate Wercinki’s third goal is to provide consumer protection. “This office registers businesses, non-profits and political action committees and these all contain a consumer protection factor. And it all circles back around to fixing a broken state agency,” Wercinski explained. “I think that it is a limited vision that the current and past Secretary of State had for the office. Voters need to know that this office holder could become the de facto Governor at any time.” With Wecinski’s background and credentials, he believes that he is the best qualified to smoothly transition into that office if called upon.

“My leadership record is clean and strong and I think that word clean is important,” candidate Sam Wercinski said. “If you look at the record my work in the military as an Air Force Officer, in the private sector having a company that works on smart sustainable growth, my work in government, being on the boards of non-profits around Arizona… put that along with my core values of being inclusive, a good listener and a strong leader and I believe it makes me the best candidate.”

The Democratic candiate for Arizona’s Secretary of State added, “Rather than dividing and pushing potential partners away, my record is one of building coalitions and bringing organizations together. M y record is in bringing more people and perspectives together. I bring that same perspective as I seek to serve Arizona as Secretary of State. This office is broken and it can do a lot more to serve all of Arizona.”
