Nonprofits Need Endowments

Arizona Community FoundationSedona AZ (February 5, 2016) –  Does every nonprofit organization need an endowment? The honest answer is, “probably, if not now, eventually.” But every nonprofit isn’t ready. Every nonprofit, though, should at least take a look at where they’re going, how they plan to get there, and, at what point building endowment is part of the picture.

On February 11, every nonprofit staff member and board member has an opportunity to hear an expert in endowment building. Carol Chamberlain, Regional Director for the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County, will share her insights in a presentation titled “Planned Giving and Endowment: The Keys to Unlock Your Future.“

Presented by the Northern Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the presentation will offer practical solutions for organizational sustainability. Everyone will leave with at least one idea they can implement right away.

The presentation is from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, Prescott. The program, which includes lunch, is $15 for AFP members and $15 for non-members. Anyone interested in learning more about endowment is welcome to attend.

To register, contact 928-282-2042 or jasmith@azfoundation.org. Local staff are available to answer further questions and assist nonprofit organizations in the application process.
