On Tuesday, September 14, 2010, the City of Sedona Employee of Year award was presented to David Jakim during the regular City Council meeting. David began working as a record’s clerk for the City Clerk’s office in August 2007.
During the Sedona City Council meeting, a summary of his nomination was shared that included information about David’s consistent and stable influence in the Clerk’s office during a period of change and transition.
David was described as an employee who goes above and beyond what is expected of him not only with the public, but also to other employees. He willingly serves on the Green Team and the Safety Committee. As an employee who serves as a role model for others, David was honored for representing the City’s core values of fairness, integrity, respectfulness, caring and honesty. An employee luncheon was held the following day in David’s honor.
