We Salute Our Veterans

Sedona AZ (November 10, 2010) – The Sedona Times Publishing newspaper and SedonaTimes.com salutes Arizona’s and our nation’s veterans. Thank you for all that you did and do to safeguard our country and its freedoms.

Arizona Veterans and Active Duty personnel will be participating in the FolksvilleUSA and Rusty’s Morningstar Ranch Anti-Litter “Fence to Fence” State Highway 89A clean-up event from Cottonwood to Sedona.

Here’s a Shout Out! to Jake Weber and his IGA in the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona, Arizona, for allowing Veterans of Foreign Wars to offer lapel poppies to shoppers in memory of those who served. Weber’s IGA shoppers donations will be gifted to Veterans assistance programs and the event is organized by WWII veteran, John Cornelius.

Our staff is wearing Buddy Poppies proudly today.

Veterans, families and friends are invited to Desert Flour Bakery and Bistro in the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona. Ask for the Desert Flour “Special Pizza Dinner for Two.” You’ll get Gary’s famous brick oven pizza, two salads and two drinks for $20. Ask Andy for a magic trick with dessert!
