Sedona AZ (November 24, 2015) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:
We would like to give thanks to our neighbors who are showing up and sharing with fellow neighbors.
We hope to see more of you get involved but feel that won’t happen until your assessments start to rise.
Don’t wait, get involved.
Happy Thanksgiving.

In 2014, we were told there would be savings by hiring Hoamco. Homaco was hired by the board despite opposition by members.
What did you (homeowners) save this year? Did your dues go down? NO. Fees went UP so if you needed to paint your house or do other exterior modifications, you paid MORE. That increase went into Hoamco’s pockets. Is that saving?
Unless there is a dues decrease, you are NOT saving. If you need a permit, you are paying MORE.
What did you (golfers) save this year. Did your dues go down? NO. There is a proposed increase in dues and the reserve fund can’t be funded with 2015 dollars. Is that saving?
Expenses will go UP, not down, in 2016.
Whether or not you like the NEW proactive compliance, you were told there would be no change, but there was.
Don’t care that you were misled? Apparently plenty of VOCA members don’t care or don’t know.
Want change? Better find 3 NEW candidate(s) for the board by February 1.
