Verde Trails Day Event and Cowboy Cookout

Verde Valley

Sedona AZ (October 29, 2012) – The public is invited to come participate in a Trails Day Celebration with a Dutch oven cowboy cookout, Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Sycamore Park, Montezuma Avenue in Lake Montezuma, Arizona.

This is a chance for trail users and stakeholders to try some delicious Dutch-oven cowboy cooking and win some fabulous prizes. The purpose of this event is to network and exchange information concerning proposed motorized and non-motorized trails in the Verde Valley and the Beaver Creek area.

The free Dutch-oven cowboy menu includes enchiladas, beans, peach cobbler, cowboy coffee and more. The thirteen free raffle prizes include t-shirts, hand crafted walking sticks, headlamps, field organizers and much more.

The event is sponsored by the local Montezuma-Rimrock-McGuireville (MRM) Trails Coalition and the Red Rock Ranger District. Local U.S. Forest Service representatives will be available to answer questions concerning proposed trails. The MRM Trails Coalition is made up of citizens interested in promoting a community-wide trail system in the Beaver Creek area north of Camp Verde, Arizona.
