Sedona to Adopt Municipal Court Fees

Sedona AZ (February 16, 2011) –The City of Sedona intends to adopt Municipal Court fees citing ARS 22-404.E that a city may establish and assess fees for court programs and services.

 

There are currently no court fees for services of the Sedona Municipal Court though most cities and towns have adopted several to offset the costs of court facilities improvement, issuance of warrants, court-appointed counsel, deferred prosecution monitoring, MVD suspension notices, and defaults by defendants.

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-499.15, notice is hereby given to the general public that the City of Sedona Mayor and Council will hold a Council Meeting on April 26, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona, Arizona to consider adopting municipal court fees by adding Section 5-1-2 to Article 5-1 of the Sedona City Code.
