Sedona Mayor Adams Re-Elected to LACT

SEDONA AZ (August 31 2010)– City of Sedona Mayor Rob Adams was re-elected for a two-year term to the Executive Committee of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns at the annual conference held last week in Glendale, Arizona.

The twenty-five member Executive Committee is the governing body of the League and sets policy relating to legislative and organizational matters.
The League of Arizona Cities and Towns is a voluntary association of all the ninety-one incorporated cities and towns in the State of Arizona.  It provides policy and legislative advocacy, information and inquiry services, along with publications and educational programs to strengthen the quality and efficiency of municipal government. 
The LACT was founded in 1937 to serve the interests of cities and towns and to preserve the principles of home rule and local determination.
The conference is the League’s largest annual event, attracting over nine hundred (900) elected officials and staff from cities and towns throughout the state to attend educational sessions, participate in panel discussions and share best practices.
