Dr. Anita Bohensky, PhD

Another Sedona Arizona current event!

Integral Sedona is sponsoring Integral Parenting presented by Anita Bohensky, Ph.D. on Saturday, September 4  2010, from 10 a.m. to Noon in the Sedona Public Library Community Room.   Admission is free.

Integral Parenting:

Learning to be an Integral Parent whether you have young children, adolescents, or adult children is using the AQAL map as a tool for understanding of the relationship with our children. The integral approach impacts their ability to develop as more healthy and wholistic human beings.

One of the distinguishing marks of an integral approach is an understanding that human beings develop, in large measure, as a result of their life experiences.

Parents can benefit their children by being aware of their own past experiences and how those impact their interaction with their children.  It is also beneficial for parents to share their ‘stories’ and emotional experiences with their children, as well as, create a space for open listening and communication, all skillful means enabling a child to become an emotionally aware, empathic, and evolved person.

Anita Bohensky, PhD is a child and developmental psychologist and integral psychotherapist who has studied and worked with children and their parents for over twenty five (25) years in New York City and for the last two years in Sedona Arizona.

Dr. Bohensky will discuss the critical and transformative role of being a parent: what does it mean both practically and spiritually to be integrally informed, authentically present, and open to transform and evolve in the parent-child relationship?

My children thrived on reading. We spent hours at our local library. I have discovered a wonderful resource for parents.
