Sedona AZ (June 11, 2010) – At the June 8, 2010, Sedona City Council meeting, Council approved the contract to hire Albert Holler & Associates to perform tax auditing services, effective July 1, 2010.

The City cited Albert Holler as having over 35 years in sales tax auditing and administration, and the firm currently performs audits for cities and towns throughout Arizona.

Over the course of the city’s fiscal year, the firm will provide at least 25 audits of transaction privilege and use taxes for businesses operating within the city.  This is the first of four projects underway as part of the city’s top priority revenue generation project aimed at increasing cash flow at the city.

Other related projects in the queue include business licensing, tax amnesty, and third-party sales tax collection. Each of these projects will be coming forward to the City Council for discussion and possible action later this year.

Should anyone have questions about these projects or interest in having the City present details on these projects to interested groups, contact Jodie Filardo, Revenue Manager at 928-203-5040.
