Sedona AZ (August 19, 2011) – Two additional grants from the Sedona Community Foundation (SCF) and the City of Sedona to Sedona Recycles has enabled the recycling company’s purchase of a Styrofoam densifier.
Along with a grant received from the Yavapai County Community Foundation last month, as well as public donations, Sedona Recycles received enough money to purchase the equipment necessary to recycle Styrofoam blocks. Presently Sedona Recycles processes cardboard, paper, plastics #1-#7, aluminum and steel cans, glass, electronics, clothes, ink and toner cartridges, books, packing materials, egg cartons and more.
A battery recycling location is available at Verde Valley Ace Hardware in Cottonwood, Arizona.
Sedona Recycles is a grassroots organization that provides free recycling services to reduce the volume of post-consumer waste buried in the local landfill. Find them on the web at www.SedonaRecycles.org.
Sedona Recycles is still in need of additional funding and in-kind donations to build a shelter for the densifier.

Sedona Recycles will be the first recycling center in Arizona to accept Styrofoam with the purchase of the densifier.
