Sedona AZ (June 16, 2010) – In a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor, local school board candidate Zachary Richardson writes the following:
The election for School Board members has never been as exciting as the City Council or Fire Board elections, though there are now some issues relating to the School Board that could significantly impact our community. As a school parent and an active community member, these issues have me and others in our community concerned. I have addressed these concerns with current school board members without any active response. By the time the election for new school board members takes place in November, it will be too late to change some of the board’s decisions and we will be stuck with the current course of action.
To bring these issues to our community’s attention, I have decided to run for school board. Our community needs a successful school district and in order for our district to be successful, it requires the support of our community. To get the support of the community, the school board must put the welfare of the students and the community first.
