Next week, Lorenzo Romero, director of the Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting (OSPB), will present the budget and take questions in Prescott and Yuma. The meetings will be open to the public and media.

Earlier this month, the Governor’s Office conducted public hearings in Tucson and Flagstaff allowing the public to learn more and comment on the budget proposal. The hearings were livestreamed via Twitter.

“I want all Arizonans, in all regions of the state, to have the chance to learn about the budget and participate in the process,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “This budget proposal is fiscally responsible while making important investments in education, child safety and public safety. The final product will be shaped by public dialogue and the legislative process — just as it should be. I look forward to working with legislators on a budget that is financially sound and protects our state’s most important priorities.”

The Public Hearing on the statewide executive budget for Fiscal Year 2017 will be held Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Yavapai County Administrative Services Building in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 1015 Fair Street, Prescott AZ 86305, at 2:30 in the afternoon.
