Arizona’s Water Future Is Topic at Community Forum

water faucetSedona AZ (January 25, 2016) – Residents of Flagstaff, Arizona, are being asked to share thoughts and reactions during an Arizona Town Hall discussion of how to insure Arizona’s future water needs are met on Friday, January 29, 2016. The forum, sponsored in conjunction with Coconino Plateau Watershed Partnership, is scheduled at the NACET Incubator Building Conference Room, 225 North Gemini Drive, Flagstaff, from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.

Program presenters will include: Erin Young, Water Resources Manager, City of Flagstaff-Utilities; Tara Jackson, President, Arizona Town Hall; Eric Marcus, Executive Director, Sustainable Economic Development Initiative; Mandy Metzger, District 4 Supervisor, Coconino County; Chair, CPWP; Abe Springer, Professor, School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability, Northern Arizona University; and, Stella Carr, a student at Northern Arizona University.

The community discussion will be summarized and distributed to Arizona Town Hall members, various elected officials, the Arizona Legislature, and the general public.

The “Keeping Arizona’s Water Glass Full” Town Hall and Community Outreach Programs are supported by several partners, including: APS, SRP, Arizona Lottery, Freeport McMoRan, AECOM, AZ Water Association, Central Arizona Project, EPCOR, Jennings, Strouss & Salmon SLC, The Nature Conservancy, Resolution Copper Mining, and Arizona Cotton Growers Association.
