Sedona AZ (June 1, 2015) – PAWUIC (Prescott Area Wildland Urban Interface Commission) is pleased to announce the First Annual Christmas Parade Fire Engine Ride. A winning raffle ticket will be selected on November 1, 2015, for a group of six people to ride on a fire engine during the 33rd Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 1:00-3:00 in the afternoon. The parade theme this year is The Magic of Christmas. The Annual Prescott Courthouse Lighting Ceremony will follow that same day at 6:00 in the evening.
Raffle Tickets are available for $2 each or 3 for $5 through PAWUIC at 928-277-8032. Firewise® community residents can also contact their chairperson for tickets sold through their community. The event is a great way to create memories for children and grandchildren, or for neighbors or club members to get together for a fun afternoon.
One third of the proceeds will go towards firefighter scholarships to the Arizona Wildfire and Incident Management Academy. PAWUIC will use the remainder for activities supporting wildfire safety and defensible space as it has done for twenty five years.
