Sedona AZ (July 6, 2015) – Fire managers on the Bradshaw Ranger District are planning to burn piles Tuesday, July 7 through Sunday, July 12 pending favorable weather conditions. Specific days to burn will be determined by current and expected weather patterns which allows fire managers to make every effort to minimize smoke impacts to nearby communities.

Ponderosa Park – Piles are located south of Ponderosa Park (T13N, R2W, S32).

Thumb Butte Piles – Piles are located north of Thumb Butte (T14N, R3W, Sec 25, 26) and border the communities of Kingswood and Forest Trails along the forest boundary.  Possible impacts to Trail 386.

Prieta Overlook – Piles are located south of Thumb Butte (T13N, R3W, S9, 10, 15) near the Sierra Prieta Overlook.  Possible impacts to Trail 264 and 366.
