Nominate A Philanthropist

Sedona AZ (July 19, 2012) – Each year, the Yavapai County Community Foundation recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations in the following categories:

  • Community Benefactor Award (honors a nonprofit, public benefit organization that encourages and motivates others to engage in community solutions and demonstrates outstanding commitment to improving the quality of life in Yavapai County)
  • Business Philanthropist Award (honors a business providing outstanding commitment to the culture of philanthropy in Yavapai County)
  • Philanthropist of the Year Award (honors an individual who demonstrates outstanding philanthropic impact within the community of Yavapai County)
  • Youth Philanthropist of the Year Award (honors a youth who demonstrates outstanding commitment to improving the quality of life of Yavapai County via direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering and philanthropic leadership)

You are invited to join in the process and nominate today! It’s quick and easy to do. Go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012JoyOfGivingNomination and complete the nomination form. Nominations must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012.

Awards will be presented at the YCCF Joy of Giving Philanthropic Awards Dinner on Friday, October 26, 2012. This event will be an opportunity to honor those who have provided valuable philanthropic services in the form of financial help, time, energy, and talent for the residents and nonprofits of Yavapai County.

A grant of $1,000 will be made in the name of each award recipient to the Yavapai County nonprofit organization of his or her choice.

The Yavapai County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation, is a 19-year-old permanent philanthropic endowment for the enduring benefit of our community. Its mission is to lead, serve and collaborate to mobilize enduring philanthropy for a better Yavapai County.
