Monsoon Weather Postpones State Route 89A Work

Arizona SR 89A Construction Update

Prescott AZ (July 20, 2012) – The Arizona Department of Transportation will intermittently restrict one lane in each direction as crews apply permanent pavement striping to State Route 89A from Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley to Larry Caldwell Drive in Prescott on Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July, 27, 2012.

Work hours will be 6 AM to 5 PM. Travelers are advised to incorporate delays and or unexpected detours in all travel.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction during work hours and the speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph through the work zone.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
