Sedona AZ (February 10, 2012) – The Kalichstein Laredo Robinson Trio will perform an all Beethoven program on February 19, 2012 as guests of the Sunday in Sedona Chamber Music Afternoon Series. The trio’s concert will begin at 2:30 PM in the St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 180 Soldiers Pass Road, Sedona.

Tickets to the concert are available on-line at www.chambermusicsedona.org and range from $10 to $40. Student tickets (with full-time ID) are $10 at the door.

The Kalichstein Laredo Robinson Trio is an “original member” chamber ensemble. Still together after more than thirty-five years, the trio continues to balance the careers of its three internationally-acclaimed soloists while appearing at many of the world’s major concert halls, commissioning spectacular new works, and maintaining an active recording agenda.

Since its debut at the White House for President Carter’s Inauguration in January 1977, the chamber ensemble of pianist Joseph Kalichstein, violinist Jaime Laredo, and cellist Sharon Robinson have set the standard for performance of the piano trio literature. The February 19 afternoon performance will include three of Beethoven’s six piano trios: Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11; Trio in D Major, Op. 70 “Ghost”; and, Trio in B-flat Major and Op. 97 “Archduke.”

A thirty minute pre-concert talk with Edward Ingraham will begin at 1:15 p.m. in the Don Bosco Room.

Chamber Music Sedona is supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts with funding from the State of Arizona, the National Endowment for the Arts, the City of Sedona Arts, and the CMS membership base of more than 250. The February 19 Sunday in Sedona Chamber Music Afternoon Series concert is sponsored by Birgit and Werner Loewenstein and Lelia and Harry Schoenberg.
