Sedona AZ (November 26, 2015) – What does a young couple do when faced with a life altering event? They reach out to help others.

A new Spinal Cord Injury Support Group will meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Village of Oak Creek VOCA Clubhouse, Sedona. This non-profit chapter of the AZ Spinal Cord Injury Association is reaching out to those afflicted by spinal cord injuries or a condition affecting the spinal cord (i.e. Multiple Sclerosis) and its family members, caregivers, and medical and healthcare professionals.

The AZ Spinal Cord Injury Association holds support groups across Arizona. The new Sedona area support group, KCT Project, was organized to help meet the needs of northern Arizona spinal cord injuries by Kelly Taylor, a quadriplegic for eighteen years and his wife and sole round the clock caregiver, Corinna Taylor. The two began KCT Project to help and encourage others by sharing their personal experience, knowledge and resources, and to offer support and awareness for spinal cord injury.

KCT Project 3The Taylor’s goal is to share the tragedy they faced at such a young age or, as in their own words, offer to others “...How we have made it through the last eighteen years and how we have beaten the odds. We want to help others by offering hope and encouragement that, no matter what your circumstances are, you can overcome anything by knowing and living Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” We want to share our faith, strength, and experience of how we have overcome the obstacles we have been faced with – and how others too can turn their pain into purpose and burdens into blessings!”
