Tiffany Varming arrested for home invasion robbery

Sedona AZ (August 24, 2013) – During the morning hours of Friday, August 23, 2013, Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested twenty-year-old Jeremiah Boswell of Flagstaff, Arizona, in connection with a home invasion on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in a rural community located ten miles south of Flagstaff. Also arrested was Boswell’s girlfriend, nineteen-year-old Tiffany Varming of Flagstaff.

About noon on August 21, 2013, Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a private residence in the rural Flagstaff subdivision of Mountainaire about a home burglary in progress. According to the adult male homeowner and the caller, the owner returned home from work to find whom he described as an adult male wearing black paint or makeup on his face and hiding in a room inside his house.

The homeowner told Sheriff’s deputies that the suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him and the two became involved in a physical altercation. During that fight, the burglar pulled a knife and making slashing motions in close proximity to the homeowner before attempting to use a “Stun-Gun” on him.

Following an investigation, detectives learned that Tiffany Varming was a professional acquaintance of one of the homeowner’s relatives. After additional inquires, detectives identified Varming and her boyfriend, Jeremiah Boswell, as suspects in this armed home invasion.

Boswell matched a description provided by the victim of the burglar.

On August 22, 2013, Sheriff’s Detectives found both Varming and Boswell at their place of residence in Flagstaff and served a warrant. Although neither individual made any statements implicating themselves in this crime, detectives located and seized items consistent with material evidence left at the scene of the Mountaire home invasion burglary and armed assault.

Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives will present the case to the Coconino County Attorney’s Office for official charging.

It is well known throughout the country that home invasions by armed suspects often result in serious physical injury or death to the victims. Investigators believe that the quick and deliberate actions of the victim prevented him and his family members from being seriously injured.

Detectives believe that the suspects specifically targeted the victim and his home and do not believe this crime was a random act.

  1. These two need to be put away for good because they are no good. They’d have killed this man without any remorse and probably regret not doing it because they got caught. As for that family member… ought to be questioned about why these two knew what they knew…

Scared straight? Not ever going to happen to low lifes like these two. Bad seeds.
