Have you aided and abetted a Jewish murder today?

U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was murdered in a planned embassy attack and dragged through the streets of Benghazi

U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was murdered in a planned embassy attack by anti American terrorists and his body dragged through the streets of Benghazi

Sedona AZ (September 26, 2015) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:

During the 2014 Oscars, the 75th anniversary of the release of the Wizard of Oz was celebrated by having the pop singer Pink sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” made famous by actress/singer Judy Garland (a Jew) of the original Wizard of Oz fame.

But, what few people realized, while listening to that incredible performer singing that unforgettable song, is that the music is deeply embedded in the Jewish experience.

It is no accident, for example, that the greatest Christmas songs of all time were written by Jews. For example, “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was written by Johnny Marks and “White Christmas” was penned by a Jewish liturgical singer’s (cantor) son, Irving Berlin.

But perhaps the most poignant song emerging out of the mass exodus from Europe was “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The lyrics were written by Yip Harburg. He was the youngest of four children born to Russian Jewish immigrants. His real name was Isidore Hochberg and he grew up in a Yiddish speaking Orthodox Jewish home in New York.

The music was written by Harold Arlen, a cantor’s son. His real name was Hyman Arluck, and his parents were from Lithuania.

Together, Hochberg and Arluck wrote “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” which was voted the twentieth century’s number one song by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

In writing it, the two men reached deep into their immigrant Jewish consciousness – framed by the pogroms of the past and the Holocaust about to happen – and wrote an unforgettable melody set to near prophetic words.

Read the lyrics in their Jewish context and suddenly the words are no longer about Wizards and Oz, but about Jewish survival:

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh, why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh, why can’t I?

Double rainbow.JPGThe Jews of Europe could not fly. They could not escape beyond the rainbow. Harburg was almost prescient when he talked about wanting to fly like a bluebird away from the “chimney tops.” In the post-Auschwitz era, chimney tops have taken on a whole different meaning than the one they had at the beginning of 1939.

Singer Pink’s mom is Judith Kugel. She’s Jewish of Lithuanian background. As Pink was belting the Harburg/Arlen song from the stage at the Academy Awards, I wasn’t thinking about the movie. I was thinking about Europe’s lost Jews and the immigrants to America.

I was then struck by the irony that for two thousand years the land that the Jews heard of “once in a lullaby” was not America, but Israel. The remarkable thing would be that less than ten years after “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was first published, the exile was over and the State of Israel was reborn.

Perhaps the “dreams that you dare to dream really do come true..”

Then, perhaps, asleep at the wheel and stupid Americans and your anti-Jewish President Barack Obama and anti-Jewish former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (now candidate for President of the U.S.) have sealed the fate of Israel and surviving generations of post holocaust Jews with annihilation by Iran.

After all, the two of them allowed Chris Stevens, Ambassador to Libya, to be murdered and dragged through the streets, along with the men sworn to protect him who also died. Yes. The two of U.S. leaders lied to cover up their involvement. A nice California boy who loved Libya was killed. Why?

He was expendable for Obama and Clinton power.

Murder. What have you done, global Jew and Gentile and non fanatic Muslim, to demand an eye for an eye, to demand justice? If you support Hillary Clinton or further actions by this U.S. administration, you are spitting on the graves of every Jew ever born and ever to be born. But is that your aim?

May a stone find your ashes.

Ask G-d why you do as you do? Against your own self interest you vote Democrat? Ignorance brought the holocaust to us. Ignorance brought the Crusades. Stop being ignorant. Stop voting against your own self interests. It’s the holidays. Examine yourselves. Ask.

Send this to everyone you know. Then you may earn a measure of forgiveness.

  1. Philadelphia FBI issued an alert to area universities and colleges that a threat against an unnamed school had been made. Students receiving the text were faced with going to class and being under threat, or not going to class and being disciplined by the schools.

Efforts to reach the Philadelphia FBI media office at 215-418-4000 were unsuccessful as the Public Relations officer did not return calls and her voicemail box was full. No message could be left.

A further effort to reach the appropriate office was unsuccessful as the answering desk operator connected the newspaper with a Complaints officer, and after, a woman at the Administrative Officer’s office who assured us a callback would be forthcoming.

    No one called.

This text alert was the second in two weeks to students.

Area hospitals were not informed of the emergency text and or other law enforcement agencies as far as we were able to discover.

It’s unclear what the Standard Operating Procedure for sharing the texted alert information is with other First Responders and law enforcement agencies in the Philadelphia area and or region.

It is one of the many questions we tried to ask and have answered, but to no avail.

All the Ayan Benets in the world bellowing their own foreign and twisted rhetoric, which is not well based in ALL the facts, will ever persuade me to vote for Trump. Ours is a complex system poorly understood by even our own citizenry due to a failing educational system but that’s a different topic. I don’t expect foreigners to get it. Having said that, Israeli survival or for that matter Jewish survival is not in his hands of the American presidents.

I do not argue that the US has significant influence and that things like Benghazi SUCK and should not have happened but ask why has Hilary so far weathered this storm in spite of the far right’s chest thumping? I think she’s protected for a reason. What is that reason? It’s not a far flung conspiracy; it’s much closer than that.

It’s time people woke up and got involved WITH understanding not media, or for that matter, party brainwashing. It’s a challenge these days to find sources that are not slanted but it’s possible; news media no longer report the news they are busy trying to make the news or at least sensationalize what little news they’ve got for ratings mad money. So my advice is read it all and form your own opinion but don’t take anything at face value and don’t read only one side.

Remember the blind men describing and elephant – the one who grabbed the trunk said its like a tree limb, the one grasping the leg said no more like a tree trunk, the one at the ear said its a large lead or fan-like animal, the one at the body said its like a big wall and the one at the tail said its just like a snake. To SEE the elephant you must put all of those descriptions together in a specific order.

Good luck choosing our new leader, at no other time in our voting years, has the phrase the lesser of the evils been more apropos. The question is which evil is less likely to destroy us as a nation?
