Sedona AZ (June 10, 2013) – The City of Sedona is seeking a candidate for the position of Arts and Culture Coordinator to start July 1, 2013.

This thirty-hour per week position will direct, plan, and manage the operations, programs and activities of the City’s Arts and Culture Program including Art in Public Places, Art in Private Development, Mayor’s Arts Awards, and the Artist in the Classroom Program.

This position requires knowledge of:

• Arts and culture programming.

• Principles and practices of staff coordination.

• Principles, techniques, tools, and media used in promoting arts and culture programs.

• Social networking systems and other e-based communications networks.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Principles and practices of municipal budget preparation and administration.

• Methods and techniques of fund raising and long-term fund development strategies.

• Legal requirements for public meetings and events.

• Research techniques and resources available for program implementation.

• Strong writing, English usage skills, computer and desktop publishing skills.

• Organizational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs.
