Eye on Sedona City Hall Art

sedona city hall artSedona AZ (August 6, 2013) The City of Sedona is proud to announce a new art exhibition featuring the work of Sedona artist Cher Norville.

The art exhibit showcases a variety of wild animal paintings from Cher’s holidays to Africa and Canada. Cher explained that the animals left a lifelong impression on her after she captured their beauty and innocence on film. The paintings are from photographs that Cher took while visiting Kenya and Tanzania in Africa and along the tundra in Churchill Manitoba, Canada.

After receiving her degree in Fine Arts at Northern Arizona University, Cher produced catalogs while art directing photo shoots in New York and Dallas. Eventually, she returned to Arizona and taught art at Saint Mary’s High School in Phoenix.

Cher works in a variety of mediums including metal, oil and acrylic painting, photography and metallic, all which can be viewed on her dotcom website, Paintings By CN.

This beautiful and diverse animal-inspired exhibit will be available for public viewing until October 4, 2013, at City Hall, Vultee Conference Room, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona.

To schedule a private viewing, contact the City of Sedona Arts and Culture Department via email at ArtsandCulture@SedonaAZ.gov.
