Dear Sedona Times Readers: Vote August 24th

This is an answer that I posted in response to a Sedona Times reader, Emma Carpini, a good citizen who wrote expressing a concern that our newspaper was slanted in one direction. We hope that our reply to Ms. Carpini will address any other reader’s misconception of our 2010 election and candidate coverage.

Our Sedona Times daily eBlasts are only a tip of the news coverage found on the Sedona Times website. The eBlasts are captured electronically and reflect a timeline, not editorial content. We are very proud of our Sedona Times Publishing lack of bias, and unlike many other local news services, we have provided equal coverage and open access to every candidate regardless of affiliation and or campaign financing. Our Staff Writer, Joni Dahlstrom, is to be congratulated for a Herculean effort to interview and write articles before the August 24th Primary so that our readers are an informed electorate. Read and review our Election Central 2010 coverage and exercise your vote in the Primary. C. Bentley Hill, Sedona Times Owner-Publisher   Publisher@SedonaEye.com

(read entire response to Emma Carpini’s Letter to the Editor) …. Every candidate running for an office in Arizona is offered equal and fair access at Sedona Times Publishing. Please read the candidates interviews on Election Central 2010, a web page devoted to the August 24 Primary and November election. Each day as candidates respond, more interviews are written and posted. Do not see a candidate listed on the Election Central 2010 site? Call or write the candidate and ask that we be contacted at the Sedona Times Publisher@SedonaEye.com.  We want to hear each candidate’s voice! We extend equal opportunity and access to all candidates who met Arizona ballot criteria regardless of party affiliation and or funding. We believe in our American democratic process. We want an informed Arizona citizenry to register and exercise the privilege and responsibility of voting. We believe that any citizen who involves himself/herself in the election process deserves our attention and our respect as a news organization. We serve the people.  C. Bentley Hill, Publisher-Owner, Sedona Times Publishing, Sedona AZ.
