They forgot to mention that only “yes” people need apply. Experience with rubber stamp a plus.

  2. Thanks, Warren, for making your point.

As I recall, present City Council Member Mike Ward (I refuse to address “them” as “Councilors” not to be disrepectful but because that rather affected term was tacked on at some point in time) had applied for several “commission” vacancies and the door was promptly slammed.

It was perhaps because of his ongoing previous rejections for appointment to commissions that I developed support for Mike Ward as a future candidate for city council.

Now, as Mr. Ward serves out his term, it becomes my opinion that he, too, has crossed lines and refuses to tolerate the will of the people. Only the voices of selectively appointed “commission” members appear to be favorably received. (recent case in point: Housing Commission and their decision for city to deal in real estate and become intrusive within hand picked subdivisions)

It isn’t my intention to single out Mr. Ward, but his past rejections of having applied and been rejected for appointment to commissions served me well to site him as an example of pick and choose only those without opposition to any given agenda.

Faces behind that podium may change but ultimately policy does not. IMO.
