Sedona AZ (January 4, 2013) – On January 3, 2013, at approximately 7 AM, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported burglary at the Beaver Creek Elementary School, 4810 East Beaver Creek Road, Rimrock, Arizona.
Upon arrival, a school staff member told deputies unknown suspects entered the school’s bus barn and stole school property while vandalizing the area. Items taken include a Ryobi power drill, a Motorola walkie-talkie, and six flashlights. The suspects also poured motor oil in and around the building and attempted to enter several vehicles parked nearby.

The Beaver Creek school was also burglarized on November 24, 2012 when deputies investigated a burglary and vandalism to classrooms. In this case, fire extinguishers had been sprayed in the lobby and classrooms, ceiling tiles were pulled away in adjacent bathrooms, and several desks, cabinets and lockers had been ransacked. Food and an undetermined amount of money were discovered missing.
Suspects are likely from the Rimrock community and both incidents occurred during the late night/early morning hours. Residents who live in neighborhoods surrounding the school are asked to be extra alert and report any suspicious activity on or near the campus after school hours.
