Annual History Roundup Picnic Scheduled

Museum volunteers and old-timers enjoy potluck and local history stories

The public is welcome to join museum volunteers and old-timers and enjoy potluck with local history stories

Sedona AZ (September 26, 2013) The Sedona Historical Society will host its annual History Roundup Potluck Picnic at Indian Gardens Park, also known as Bacon Rind Park, in Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Noon.

This is a wonderful event to be enjoyed by all interested in meeting Sedona pioneer descendants and long-time residents. After lunch, a microphone will be passed around to pioneers and old-timers who will tell stories about movie-making here during the good old days.

This is a potluck picnic and attendees are asked to bring a food dish to share. The Sedona Heritage Museum will be providing a meat entree and beverages. This event is open to the general public and plan on arriving by 11:30 a.m.

The potluck picnic starts at Noon but we want you and your dish in place earlier.

The Sedona Historical Society’s mission is to research, preserve and teach the history of the greater Sedona, Arizona, area. As part of that effort, the Society operates the Sedona Heritage Museum, 735 Jordan Road, uptown Sedona. For more information, call 928-282-7038.
