Sedona AZ (April 2, 2015) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:
The Women’s Havurah (Friendship Circle) of the Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley (JCSVV) is hosting a Women’s Seder on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., 100 Meadowlark Drive, Sedona, AZ.
In a typically male dominated society women were seen, but not heard. Yet the Passover holiday owes its festiveness to the women who prepared the food, decorated the tables and taught traditions to their daughters.
Women are invited to come and celebrate the important role of Jewish women in Passover. Enjoy a festive Passover dinner, discuss old and new rituals, and participate in joyous singing and dancing.
Havurah Members please call Linda Waddell to RSVP and to sign up to bring a Kosher for Passover dairy or vegetarian food item, and fill a “helping” role for our festivities. The donation for guests is $25 payable at the door. Guests are asked to please RSVP by April 6, 2015, to Sybil Malinowski Melody at sybil@melodylife.com or 928-649-2613.
