What Happened to the American Dream?

Hot Topics PPI logo NAUSedona AZ (February 25, 2014) – The Northern Arizona University Philosophy in the Public Interest will host a Hot Topic Café on March 4, 2014, at the Sedona Public Library and March 5, 2014, at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff entitled “What Happened to the American Dream?”  The Sedona two-hour program will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the Flagstaff program at 6:00 PM.

The public will be invited to discuss the following questions related to the topic:

  • Is the American Dream harder to achieve now than it once was? If so, for whom?
  • Should the American Dream define success in America?

Hot Topics Café is a program that creates a forum for civil discourse about matters of significance to our communities. Members of the community are then invited to voice views on the topic, learn about the issues, and about alternative viewpoints in the community.

The Hot Topic Cafe is made possible by the Arizona Humanities Council, the McKenzie Endowment for Democracy, and the SBS Compassion Project.

The Sedona Public Library is located at 3250 White Bear Road, Sedona, Arizona. For more information call 928-523-1618. For upcoming March and April 2014 Hot Topic Cafe discussions follow the SedonaEye.com Calendar of Events daily.
