Dustin Bush wanted for kidnapping and unlawful flight in Arizona

BCC 2Sedona AZ (August 1, 2014) – This morning, just before 5:00 in the morning, Dustin Bush, 30, of Cottonwood, Arizona, fled from deputies during a traffic stop on Arizona Interstate 17 in the area of Rock Springs Road, Black Canyon City, Arizona.

Bush is wanted for robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and endangerment resulting from an incident in the City of Cottonwood, mid-July of this year. Cottonwood detectives have been working with detectives from the Partner’s Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT – a multi-agency narcotics task force) on this case, and with the search for Bush.

A warrant for Bush has been issued with a bond set at $250,000.

Bush is a white male, 5’ 09” tall, 185 pounds, bald, wearing a red shirt and black shorts. He is very likely armed with a handgun. An extensive search throughout the morning was unsuccessful, but detectives continue to work leads.

If you see this suspect, call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach this individual. If anyone has knowledge regarding the whereabouts of Bush, please call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or report your anonymous tips to Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.

Citizens can contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office with information or questions at 928-771-3260.

  3. I’m curious if he might have been involved in the recent murder on the Bell Trail?

  4. a murder on Bell Trail?

  5. There was a separate post about this. Bell Trail (not to be confused with Bell Rock Trail) is on the other side of I-17.

  6. Thanks for the post. It doesn’t appear that they have had any luck catching that Camp Verde prison escapee yet, either, since they increased the reward to $7000.

  7. If you want to know what a negative vortex is like, here’s one. Also the same spot where a baby was killed by family member a while back…

  8. Be safe people. Avoid hiking alone and/or after dark. Make sure your phone is charged so you can call for help in emergency.

  9. Attempted Break in

My neighbor in Turnberry Estates has asked me to post this incident which occurred last night:

At 1:15am she heard someone banging loudly on her security front door.

She immediately called 911 and the sheriff came out to investigate.

This is the SECOND TIME she has awoken to someone ‘visiting’ her front door.

It is apparent that our homes are being checked on to establish if anyone is occupying the residence, vacationing, etc.

Let’s all do our best to be aware and report any similar experiences.

This newsletter that circulates serves as a valuable Neighborhood Watch to get the word around!

    Thank you,
