Cornville original Road Warriors cleaning up Arizona

Sedona AZ (August 25, 2009) – Special thanks to Arizona Highway 89A litter volunteers, writes SedonaEye.com guest columnist Gary Chamberlain:

All of the Volunteers for the April 25, 2009, “SR Hwy 89A Fence to Fence Litter Removal” between Cottonwood (MP-355) and Sedona (MP-370) would like to thank everyone who made this event a success!

It was originally thought that $3,100 in prize donations were made. We now know that local and out of state businesses and individuals donated $4,281 in raffle prizes.

The “SR Hwy 89A Fence to Fence Litter Removal” event was responsible for collecting 221 bags of litter and many other debris items which didn’t fit in the ADOT provided litter bags. This litter removal event didn’t include four miles of State Highway 89A due to time constraints.

A special thanks to the following ADOT personnel: Mike Gutzwiller and his 15 Road Warriors, Chuck King, Rod Wigman, John Harper, Stephanie Brown and Bill Williams.

It is our hope that this event will repeated next year. My sincere apologies to anyone we have forgotten to mention.
