Show Your Love for Amanda Today

Sedona AZ (June 17, 2011) – The cancer diagnosis was not welcome for this much loved twenty-year-old Red Rock High School graduate, and long-time Sedona resident, but Amanda Coughlin and her family are not fighting this battle alone. The entire Sedona community and its extended friends and family are lifting up Amanda with their prayer support, friendship and, most of all, love.

Love for Amanda (www.facebook.com/love4amanda) is what’s behind this community’s support of Amanda’s road to remission. Social network Amanda’s story to your Facebook and Twitter pages using the options beneath this article!

Send it round the world today!

A second Coughlin Benefit Concert will be held on June 17, 2011 at 7 PM at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, a stellar venue and $12.5M state-of-the-art theatre. The featured bands for this free concert are the Gospel Fire All Stars, a Sedona-based band including Eddie Tortorello, Frank Robinson, Miles Siedow, Barry McCoy and John Badiaco and Covenant 31 from Prescott Valley.

The Gospel Fire All Stars boast more than 200 years of stage experience collectively and draw musical inspiration from such greats as The Blind Boys of Alabama, Elvis Presley, The Doobie Brothers, Johann Sebastian Bach and the list goes on. They sing and play to bless others. According to their leader, Frank Robinson, “If you look hard and deep enough, you will find that all those genres of music everyone loves: rock and roll, blues, soul and even jazz got their start on Church Street before they went out to Main Street.” The All Stars do rock!

Covenant 31 is based in Prescott Valley and is often heard on the airwaves throughout northern Arizona. About Covenant 31, Mike Medlin, Program Director of Radio Shine-KGCB, said:  “I think music, regardless of genre, comes from a place of deep and rich experience … that kind of music is the natural overflow of a heart in a tight, fire-tested fellowship with the Almighty. It cuts through the clutter, and it’s a song you want to sing along with from the very first listen even if you don’t know the words because everything about it resonates true. That’s been my experience with Covenant 31. I think it’ll be yours too.”

At the concert, there will be silent auctions, raffle prizes, food and, most of all, great music. All of the proceeds will go directly to Amanda’s family to help pay the mounting medical expenses. Amanda’s supporters are welcome to make a donation by way of PayPal through the Coughlins’ Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Love4Amanda. No gift is too small to be appreciated or needed.

Give a little, Give a lot. Make a difference today in Amanda's life.

    Friends,

I am hoping that you can forward the article (social network options below the article) to all of the individuals on your email list to let the community know about this special benefit performance to help offset the very expensive medical treatment that Amanda, one of our very own Red Rock HS graduates with a 4.0 average, is presently undergoing. Neither she, nor her parents have any medical insurance and the community is trying to help them the best way they can.

We sincerely hope that you can help out!

…thank you for this story that is so prominent…no one should miss out giving a little to this wonderful girl and her family. It’s your chance to lend a helping hand. If you can send money to help people overseas, then let me suggest that you dig deeper for this “at home” cause. Show her what Sedona is supposed to be about, a compassionate caring city…
