Sedona AZ (March 28, 2016) – Fire Chief Kris Kazian of the Sedona Fire District successfully completed the process that redesignates him as a Chief Fire Officer (CFO), one of only 1,113 CFOs worldwide. The Commission on Professional Credentialing met on February 2, 2016, to officially confer the redesignation upon Chief Kazian.

The CFO Designation program is a voluntary program designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate their excellence in seven measured components including: Experience, Education, Professional Development, Professional Contributions, Association Membership, Community Involvement and Technical Competencies. Chief Kazian received his original designation in 2010. To maintain the designation, individuals need to show they have continued to develop and improve in their service to the community as a CFO in four areas: Professional Development, Professional Contributions, Active Association Membership and Community Involvement.
