Tuttle threatens to kill family during Seligman home invasion, assault and robbery

Seligman AZ (November 7, 2012)Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking 39-year-old Eric Stephen Tuttle for the Assault and Robbery of a family in the Bridge Canyon Estates area of Seligman, Arizona.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon just after 2 PM at the family’s home. The victims include a husband, 78, wife, 77, and their daughter, 54.

Recently, the family allowed Tuttle to stay on their property but had decided to ask him to leave. Yesterday afternoon, Tuttle began assaulting the daughter inside a locked vehicle. Her mom and dad tried to rescue her, but Tuttle refused to open the door. Tuttle finally exited the vehicle and assaulted her dad with a shovel and then turned and attacked his daughter again by striking her with the shovel.

He then ordered all three to sit together and threatened to kill them before eventually escorting the group into a travel trailer. He had the daughter bind her mom and dad’s hands with duct tape, and he bound their daughter with duct tape. Tuttle left the property by stealing the family’s truck along with their three dogs.

Family members were treated and released by EMS personnel at the scene.

Suspect information – Eric Tuttle is Male, White, 5 feet 8 inches tall, Brown hair and Eyes, and weighs 155 pounds. Tuttle has violent tendencies and may be armed. DO NOT APPROACH.

Tuttle is also wanted in Pennsylvania by the parole department.

Stolen vehicle information – White Dodge Ram pickup license 432VXX with a black front bumper – may have the family’s three dogs with him.

At 3 PM, the media office was notified that law enforcement officers had possibly spotted the stolen Dodge truck in Missouri. The driver was not positively identified, but believed to be Tuttle — the suspect and vehicle remain outstanding. Further updates will be forthcoming when known.
