Sedona State Route 89A Roadwork Update

Sedona Arizona SR 89A Construction Update

Sedona AZ (September 10, 2012) – Motorists on State Route 89A in Sedona Arizona are driving on a smoother roadway following the repaving work that has been completed, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

However, crews are still installing roadway lighting along SR 89A from Dry Creek Road to Airport Drive, the last portion of the $3.4 million safety improvement project.

This work will require lane closures and the closure of the intersection at Coffee Pot Drive on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Law enforcement will be on site throughout the closure, directing traffic through the intersection. Delays are expected.

Additionally, the SR 89A project includes a new traffic signal at Andante Drive. The signal and the roadway lighting is scheduled for activation at the end of September 2012.

Motorists are advised to pay close attention to signage and observe posted speed limits which will be reduced in the work zones.
