Sedona SR 89A Traffic Signal Installation Alert

Sedona AZ (July 1, 2010) – Traffic signal installation at SR 89A and Airport Road will begin July 6 so expect travel delays! The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin working on Tuesday to install the traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 89A and Airport Road in the city limits of Sedona.

Intermittent one lane closures are anticipated, but both roads will remain passable as crews work to install drainage improvements, a right turn lane on SR 89A, and a left turn lane on Airport Road, in addition to the new traffic signal. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2010.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution driving through the work zone and to expect delays. Work hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
