Sedona Safe and Fun Trick or Treating

Sedona AZ (October 19, 2017) – This Halloween marks the 31st anniversary of Sedona’s Safe and Fun Trick or Treating experience. The city’s Main Street merchants will welcome all trick or treaters to storefronts the evening of October 31, 2017, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. for great treats in a festive atmosphere.

Organized by the former Sedona Main Street program, this year’s event is hosted by the city of Sedona Parks and Recreation department. Participants can expect the same great experience offered by a variety of shops, and parents will appreciate the safe environment managed by the Sedona Police Department and its volunteers.

In addition to treats, enjoy the Thriller Zombique show that begins at 5 p.m. and will repeat several times until 8 p.m. The show features fire dancers, stilt walkers and (of course) zombies. The show location will be the corner of State Route 89A and Jordan Road.

This year’s event will not include a costume contest.

“We know everyone will enjoy themselves and we thank the businesses for making this event possible for the thousands of kids who show up with bags in hand,” says Rachel Murdoch, Parks and Recreation department manager.

For more information call the Parks and Recreation at (928) 282-7098.

Free public parking is available throughout the uptown area.

What a great concept, banning Halloween yes indeedy! While we’re at it lets ban Thanksgiving, Christmas and even New Year because someone like you dislikes it.

@DonnaRay Get a life because Halloween is good fun in this house. My opinion is you’re a cheapskate and not really against Halloween or mad at the government but against fun and games and buying free candy for kids. Happy Halloween to all. See you out there!
