Sedona Rotary Awards Red Rock High Seniors Scholarships

Sedona AZ (May 13, 2011) – Michael Lamb, graduating senior from Sedona Arizona Red Rock High School, received the Rotary Club of Sedona Student of the Year $2000 scholarship. Lamb has been active in both student and community volunteer projects during his high school career. He will continue his education at Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colorado next year.

The club recognized the following senior students as Students of the Month during the 2010-2011 school year:  John Beeler, Zach Morgan, Ana-Alicia Costillo-Cockrum, A. J. Carnello, Michael Lamb, Julia Zimmerman, Dylan-George Sills, and Jennifer Kittredge.

Sedona Red Rock High School

The Rotary Club of Sedona recognizes outstanding Sedona Red Rock High School students each month during the school year. Senior students selected by their teachers demonstrate both academic and extra-curricular excellence. Each student honored receives a $500 scholarship for their further education.

A Rotary Student of the Year is selected from the monthly awardees for an  additional $2000 Rotary scholarship.

The Rotary Club of Sedona meets every Tuesday noon at the Los Abrigados Resort in Sedona. The club’s mission is to enhance community through service and fellowship.
