Sedona Needs Youth Basketball Coaches

Sedona AZ  – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department is looking for responsible adults to volunteer one evening and a Saturday morning each week for thirteen weeks to coach youth basketball teams. Sedona Grasshopper Basketball must have eight volunteer coaches by Friday, October 28, 2011, or the season will be cancelled.

The Sedona Parks and Recreation youth basketball program offers three divisions of play: The first division is for children in first and second grades, the second division for children in the third and fourth grades, and the third division is for children in fifth through seventh grades. Grasshopper Basketball program objectives are to develop fair play, sportsmanship, basketball skills, and to have fun.

Share your skills 2.5 hours a week for 13 weeks and coach a Sedona youth basketball team. Volunteers must pass fingerprinting and background checks. If interested, contact Rachel Murdoch, Sedona Recreation and Aquatics Supervisor at 928-203-5011.
