Sedona Deck Fire Injures Resident

Sedona Fire DistrictSEDONA AZ (January 7, 2013) – Shortly before 9:30 PM on Friday, January 4, 2013, Sedona Fire District emergency crews responded within nine minutes to the report of a patio fire in the 100 block of Susan Way. Upon arrival, emergency crews controlled and extinguished a fire limited to the exterior deck of the home.

One resident sustained injuries related to the fire.

A preliminary fire investigation has determined that the fire appears to be accidental. The fire remains under investigation.

  1. Wow, a response time of 9 minutes is a bit high for my liking. This highlights the need for our new Station #6. I believe that Station #6 will reduce the response times and help save our lives. I cannot figure out what those former SFD board members were thinking when they did all that they could to waste so much money that’s now needed for our beautiful Station #6.
