  3. SUBJECT: Sedona Airport Flyin, Sept 21 – Pilots & Display Aircraft Invited and Needed…

On Sept 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sedona Airport will be hosting an open house and fly-in along with a state-wide classic car show, food, entertainment, and lots of friendly pilots.

We are also offering our fuel at the “local” discounted price to all pilots flying in.

If you own an aircraft and feel it would be a crowd pleaser and want to put it on display, we will buy up to 15 gallons of fuel to help offset some of the cost of flying to Sedona Airport KSEZ. We need 20 or so aircraft to have a good showing – so please do consider sharing your cool aircraft and love of flying with the 2,000+ or so we expect to attend.

This is Sedona Airport’s Major Event for the Year – It’s our opportunity to show off and share our airport with the boys and girls, moms and dads, and all the folks from the area to enjoy airplanes, cars, kids activities, food, and the fellowship that pilots, airplane owners and classic car owners are known for.. So, put us on your calendar and come to Sedona Airport on September 21… the weather is guaranteed to be great… :-)

RSVP to Al Comello, al@sedonaairport.org or call 928-862-0210

Display aircraft should be here by 8 a.m. for the set up.

PASS THIS ON TO OTHER EAA MEMBERS AND PILOTS AROUND THE SOUTHWEST….

What? And the Sedona “regional” Chamber of Commerce isn’t taking credit for this event? How come? Their recent policy is to take credit for all events that have been going on for years without their price tag (paid by the city) and Jennifer Wesselhoof’s name attached. How did they miss this opportunity?

  5. Dana De Luz says:

Everyone should come out to the airport for this. It’s FREE. It’s for all ages. And I hear there’s going to be a great stage show at about 11:45am.

This Chamber event works because it’s not dependent on foreign imports and can be supported by local travel. Our Chamber knows that the days of attracting people from more than an easy round trip car ride are over. It gives a dying breed of men and women and Americana the chance to educate young people in a fun manner. I think every teacher in Sedona must require his/her class to do a paper or put on a play or paint pictures or investigate plane building or many other ideas that can be developed into a curriculum and require students attend the event. All schools should be offered tours and discussions with presenters. This is a teaching opportunity school administrators! A learning opportunity parents! Kids! If your parents or school can’t step up to the plate then kids you do it. Go discover something new. Sincerely, Paul Rickards, California and Flagstaff visitor

If you click on the picture it’s easier to print and you get more information, my 8 yr old took the picture of this plane to Sunday school yesterday. After reading the comment I’m taking our family for sure. Our boys can take cameras to take pictures for school and for their own!!!!!!
