Progressives of Verde Valley Endorse Candidates

Sedona AZ (February 13, 2010) – The following is a letter to the SedonaTimes.com now SedonaEye.com Daily Interactive News:

Sedona red rocks will be ncorporated into the NSA designation

Sedona red rocks will be incorporated into the National Scenic Area (NSA) proposed designation.

Hello friends and concerned citizens:

We are sending this to everyone we know who we feel is concerned about the future of Sedona and the Red Rock Area. As you may know, there is a very important election this month for the City Council of Sedona. Election Day is March 9. It is all vote by mail, and ballots will be going out during the week of February 15.

This election is vital to the path Sedona will take in future years. It is also one which could help or hinder the introduction and the passage of a National Scenic Area Designation for Sedona and the Red Rocks Area into our National Congress.

We need to elect candidates who will respect the environment and lend their support to the NSA Designation. For that reason we want to encourage you to vote for these candidates. If you do not live in the City of Sedona, and are not registered to vote, please pass this message on to others you know in Sedona who care about our open national forests, and want to stop land trades!

We would urge voters to support the following candidates:

Rob Adams for Mayor
Barbara Litrell for City Council
Dan McIlroy for City Council
Mike Ward for City Council
Dennis Rayner for City Council

These candidates have promised to follow the will of the people, be fiscally responsible and care for our environment.

The last mayoral election was decided by 4 votes. Every vote is very important !

Thank you. Please pass your recommendations on to your own email friends !

Progressives? New buzz word for communists and anarchists, ultra liberal agendas treating citizens like mindless flies. Remember it when it comes to pass how you were influenced to vote. While the NSA designation could be a good idea, the idea should be decided on its merits not its politics. Democracy in action. Progressives don’t like that. It’s their way or the highway. Everything is politicized in a progressive world. Even the food that you eat and how you flush it out of your house. Learn to discern.
