Florence AZ (August 8, 2011) – Board of Supervisors Chairman Pete Rios has ordered all Pinal County office flags to be flown at half-staff following Saturday’s downing of a U.S. Military helicopter in Afghanistan.
“I know this was the right thing to do,” Chairman Rios said. “We lost thirty of our military members at the hands of Afghan insurgents, and it’s only proper that we honor their sacrifice. Our condolences go out to the families affected by this tragedy.”
County flags will be flown at half-staff beginning on Tuesday and will continue for the rest of the week.
Read this a few minutes ago–Three Africans were arrested after what police described as a (fake) bomb was found in one of their carry-on bags during security screening at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport….Phoenix police…weren’t ruling out the possibility of a terrorism connection, Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Know what I think? The news said the “fake” bomb had a CELLPHONE taped to it. So don’t be saying lady that tried to take it thru security that you didn’t know it was meant to be a bomb. You were willing to die to kill us.
Wake up, America. Take a look at the pictures taken by people at Sky Harbor. See you or your loved ones standing in that security line, all good and innocent Americans of every color and age?
Every single hand that touched that “fake” bomb needs to be tried and convicted of terrorism. Throw the key away to their jail cells. Let them rot and never let them live free again. And TSA, we salute you for a job well done.
I spend a lot of time reading blogs. Liked Pinal County Flags Lowered to Half Staff. You keep in the news what’s right with America and what needs to be fixed. You’re doing a better job at being middle of the road. Will K. Aunisto, Williams AZ
