Join us for an overview and discussion of the Independent Redistricting Process that is currently underway. This process will set the boundaries for the state’s Congressional and Legislative districts for the next 10 years.

This overview will include:

  • · History of redistricting prior to and since the passage of Proposition 106 in 2000
  • · The current process for outreach and the proposed schedule
  • · Federal and governing case law
  • · Timing for comments and suggestions to commission
  • · Important deadlines
  • · How citizens can best get involved
